Finance Manager

A market-leading specialist business, with projects across the UK. Are currently seeking an experienced Interim Finance Manager to provide critical financial oversight during a period of transformation.

The Role

As Interim Finance Manager, you will be instrumental in maintaining robust financial controls, driving performance insights, and supporting strategic decision-making within a fast-paced recruitment and contracting environment. Reporting to senior leadership, you will be responsible for:

• Overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Managing month-end and year-end close processes, including consolidations and variance analysis.
• Partnering with operational and commercial teams to provide financial insights that drive efficiency.
• Leading cash flow management, working capital optimisation, and financial planning.
• Ensuring adherence to UK GAAP/IFRS and regulatory requirements.
• Supporting system enhancements and finance transformation initiatives.
• Managing relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and key stakeholders.
• Overseeing contractor payroll complexities, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance within a high-volume environment.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a qualified finance professional (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with a proven track record in interim finance leadership within complex, project-driven environments. The ideal candidate will have:

• Significant experience as a Finance Manager or Financial Controller in a fast past environment
• Strong technical accounting skills, with the ability to implement best practices
• Hands-on approach with the ability to influence and challenge stakeholders
• Experience in finance transformation, system improvements, or process optimisation
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, able to navigate a dynamic environment
