Head of Finance – Remote

Tech Start Up – Head of Finance MAT Cover
December 2024 – December 2025
£100,000 – £130,000 per annum
REMOTE (with monthly trip to London)

A growing AI/Tech Business in the corporate sector, are looking for a professional and experienced Head of Finance for a 12 month FTC.

This role will be a mix between traditional Start-up senior Finance duties, and more commercial/project work and reporting into the CEO

Projects:

• Involvement in 2025 Investment/Fundraising
• Automation of transactional processes
• Migration of a new system (currently Xero)
• Implementation of policies
• Tax Optimisation

BAU:

• Monitor revenue, drive business to reach targets
• Review balance sheet and conduct monthly P&L analysis
• Work closely with senior management on financial and commercial strategies
• Manage risk and compliance
• Manage and allocate budgets
• Oversee Finance Assistant with accounts payables, receivables, payroll, VAT and tax preparation
• R&D claims

What we are looking for?

• Qualified Accountant with 5 + years in Head of Finance/Finance Director Role
• Fast paced, growth or start up businesses – Tech would be ideal
• Good stakeholder management experience
• Previous team management experience
