A well-established accountancy firm are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Semi-Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This is a hands-on role, perfect for someone looking to develop their accounting career while gaining experience across multiple areas of finance.

What You’ll Do

This position is primarily focused on accounts preparation across a range of industries and business types. The work is technical, structured, and varied.

There is no audit work and very little bookkeeping, allowing the candidate to concentrate on developing strong core accountancy skills right through to client engagement.

• Maintain day-to-day accounting records
• Prepare accruals, prepayments, deferred income, and assist with month-end/year-end close
• Help with VAT returns and compliance tasks
• Work closely with other teams to resolve accounting queries and support decision-making

About You

• Part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or equivalent
• Experience in a finance or accounting role, ideally with exposure to practice
• Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
• Confident with Excel and accounting systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to work independently and manage priorities effectively
• Proactive problem-solver with a collaborative approach
