Senior Accountant

We are partnering with a fast growing London based software company as they look to expand their team by creating a new Senior Accountant role.

Backed by a Tier 1 Private Equity firm, the company has shown impressive growth since their inception, occupying offices in London, Vancouver and Singapore, with plans to further expand internationally.

You will be joining a finance team of incredibly driven and motivated, yet humble CA’s. You will be working closely with an impressive CFO, who previously helped steer his previous company from c$20mil in revenue to achieve unicorn status.

This is a Senior level role and is best suited to someone who combines technical skills, drive, humility, curiosity and good interpersonal skills.

In this role you will:

  • Work closely with the Finance Manager and CFO as part of the team managing the company’s global accounting, tax, financial operations and compliance functions
  • Supervise and review the work of more junior team members, including managing escalations
  • Prepare month end and year end reporting
  • Implement and improve revenue recognition policies and procedures and manage the company’s IFRS revenue reporting
  • Be a subject matter expert in technical accounting matters
  • Key point of contact for resolving tax and audit items
  • Be a trusted business partner and advisor to other departments
  • Help manage working capital and drive improvements in accounts receivable and payables performance
  • Design, implement and maintain improvements to the company’s financial reporting systems including application implementations
  • Prepare and review key internal and external financial reports
  • Be responsible for and drive key finance projects to completion

Requirements:

  • Big 4 background (ideally looking to make your first move to industry)
  • Prior experience with financial audits
  • Experience working with IFRS or US GAAP
  • Professional qualification (ACA/CA/ICAS or similar)
  • Ambitious, intellectually curious and motivated to be part of building and scaling a global software company
  • Humble, low-ego and able to build trusted working relationships cross-functionally
