An outstanding organisation based in Waltham Abbey are seeking an Assistant Accountant to join their growing finance team.

The role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare bank statements and ensure accurate and timely bank allocations
  • Process purchase invoices
  • Scan and manage purchase invoices within the document management system
  • Process employee expenses via Concur
  • Perform daily bank reconciliations
  • Prepare month-end journals for review
  • Maintain the Fixed Asset Register, including calculating depreciation
  • Prepare and analyse daily commercial reports
  • Assist with stock reconciliation and provisioning
  • Support the Finance team with ad hoc tasks as required

What You Will Bring

  • AAT qualification (minimum requirement)
  • Intermediate Excel skills, including lookups, IF statements, and pivot tables
  • Strong IT literacy, particularly with Microsoft Office applications
